Our day trip to Canberra – The Australian Parliment

We made our way to Canberra from Sydney today, I haven’t been there since I was a child.

It was an over-cast day, but a pretty gloomy place to visit for the day, drab & lifeless. Great to see The Australian War Memorial, don’t miss it..  Making our way through the beautiful Goulburn Valley was the absolute highlight, if you’re and avid photographer or hiker..wow, you’re in luck, the scenery makes you want to take up painting, You could spend 3 days in Canberra if you’re visiting the National Portrait Gallery, The National Library of Australia and the very beautiful Australian War Memorial, but the family were very keen to move on. We did see The Australian Parliament, the drive up the hill to the building was enticing, the architecture cool to see. The Museum of Australian Democracy was beautiful with some amazing portraits of our Prime Ministers. Mount Ainslie Lookout was a hit, thank you to our FUNCLE who forced us to go and check it out when we all said no 🙂
